Howdy Howdy, Bookworms!
Sarah Says Read is always doing the fun stuff, at which point I jump on the bandwagon. I’m basically Sarah’s groupie. She did this memory challenge a while back and I stored it away for a day when I needed something to write about. The rules to this challenge are simple. I’m supposed to answer the questions in the graphic below WITHOUT CHEATING. That means, of course, no internet searching and no bookshelf glancing. It’s all about what’s floating around on my noggin.
1. Name a book by an author called Michael: The Map Thief
2. Name a book with a dragon on the cover: Uuuuh… Does Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire
It’s the UK version, but I’m still counting it!
3. Name a book about a character called George: He and his brother never got their own book, per se, but Fred and GEORGE Weasley are the best.
4. Name a book by an author with the surname Smith: The Ark by Annabel Smith! (Annabel is lovely, BTW.)
5. Name a book set in Australia: The Rosie Project
6. Name a book with a month in the title: A Wedding in December
7. Name a book with a knife on the cover: I am so bad with cover art. The Knife of Never Letting Go 
2 for 2, even though I had to pull ANOTHER UK cover.
8. Name a book with the word “one” in the title: One Plus One
9. Name a book with an eponymous title: Eponymous? That means named for a person, yes? Rebecca
10. Name a book turned into a movie: Ha! Name a book that HASN’T been turned into a movie, more like. Fried Green Tomatoes
Well, that was fun. How good are YOUR memories, Bookworms? Are you as hopeless with cover art as I am?

The easy book about George is Curious George, although he was a monkey. And I lost it in the book covers! I love that you went to the UK books. I looked for my copy of the Subtle Knife to no avail. lol

Ugh – my book memory is horrible! I was actually just thinking about this the other day when I was talking to a friend who had just read The Storied Life of AJ Fikry, which was my pick for Best Book of 2014. And I couldn’t remember the ending….for my best book of the year. Wow.

Wow! I’m impressed at your awesome skill! My memory is terrible, so while I’m sure I’ve read or seen novels that fit those criteria, I couldn’t remember a single one except Goblet of Fire, because that’s what I’m reading right now. Way to go!

I’m more hopeless with memory, not just cover art! 😉 Really, that’s part of what convinced me to start book blogging… the hope that I could improve my memory. Alas, I still find myself referring to my own reviews to jog the brain, though.

Oh dear. I would have to make guesses on at least half of them! My memory is terrible. And reading on an old Kindle means you pay much less attention to the cover art.
1. The Lincoln Lawyer by Michael Connelly.
2. Umm… one of the Game of Thrones books? Dances with Dragons? Is that a title of one of them????????????
3. Umm… all I can think now is Curious George, but that’s sort of cheating.
4. Smith… one of those books Kevin Smith wrote? He wrote a book right?
5. I think part of The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton is set in Australia.
6. The Hunt for Red October by…. I’m drawing a blank.
7. I’m thinking “The (Something) Knife of Memory” by Ann Brashares, but I DON’T think that has a knife on the cover.
8. One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest by… um… this is embarrassing.
9. This would be so much easier with movies. Does The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle count? It’s by Avi. Right?
10. The Perks of Being A Wallflower by Steven Chbosky. Or possibly Stephen Chbosky.

For some reason, I had the absolute hell of a time thinking of a book with an author named Smith. The other ones I managed okay, but Smith! Who would have thought it would be so weirdly hard to think of a book by a person named Smith!
