The Fellowship of the Worms Announcement

Hey Bookworms,

It’s a new year and therefore a great time to talk about our awesome book club! I think I’ve been doing everyone a disservice by listing the monthly book at the end of the previous book’s discussion, so now announcements will be getting their very own posts. I assure you this is not simply a tactic I’m using to fill up post space. No sir-ee-bob. Without further ado, the book for this month’s installment of The Fellowship of the Worms, to take place on Monday, February 10th will be (drumroll please… drumroll?)

The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion! Because I haven’t read it yet myself, I feel unqualified to give it a synopsis. Here’s what Goodreads has to say:

    I’ll be interested to hear your thoughts on this one – I’ve heard mainly good things but I read one REALLY bad review which made me think twice about reading it!

    Perfect timing. Just yesterday I read my first review of this book and added it to my To-Read list. Is it fate or is it just great minds thinking alike?

      More or less. Feb 10th is when I’ll post my discussion questions and answers, but the post will be live for linkups for at least a week if you were to post something on your own blog. Of course notes in the comments are always welcome too! I would advise that if you aren’t finished by the 10th that you wait to look at my post because I’m THE WORST with spoilers when it comes to book club chatter. Worst, worst, worsty worst. I put a big fat warning right at the top though, in case you forget. I’m excited to have you play along! 🙂

    YES. I am SO DOWN to re-read this, especially since when I “read” it last time, it was listening to it on audio. I LOVED it, and I have the hardcover, so yeah I’ll be joining you guys!!! (And perfect pick for V-Day season, too!)

    Ohhhhhh this book looks AWESOME!!! Can’t WAIT to read it – though I have to finish another book you recommended first (THE CARE AND HANDLING OF ROSES WITH THORNS) – which, by the way, I am enjoying!

    I read this one last year and I found it ok. The beginning was good but I felt it was a bit repetitive toward the middle to the end.

      There are no rules in the Fellowship! Read it, come for discussion. Don’t read it, come for discussion anyway. Skip it all and drink wine in your PJs? We’re cool with that too :).
